Yerevan International Book Festival

About festival

The Yerevan International Book Festival is the largest literary event in Armenia’s publishing industry. It has been held annually since 2017.
The Festival lasts three days and brings together more than 250 writers and distinguished international guests, literary critics, thousands of readers, and over 50 publishing houses and organizations. The total number of visitors exceeds 30,000, including guests from neighboring countries. More than 12,000 books are sold during the Festival, and over 30 events take place.
The Festival’s main components include:

a book exhibition and fair featuring mandatory discounts;

a diverse cultural program including book presentations, exclusive meetings with Armenian and international authors, panel discussions, masterclasses, theatrical performances, stand-up shows, and live music;

a pitching platform designed to foster collaboration among writers, playwrights, and screenwriters;
-
an international publishers’ fellowship program aimed at developing new partnerships, ideas, and literary networks;
-
a prestigious Literary Award presented following a pre-announced national competition for citizens of the Republic of Armenia, in four categories: Poetry, Prose, Drama, and Children’s & Young Adult Literature.
Starting from 2025, the Festival is expanding beyond the capital and reaching the regions of Armenia. It has already been hosted in Gyumri and Kapan, bringing renewed cultural vitality and creating new platforms for engagement with local communities.
